You’re Invited: A Discussion About Amendment 3

As many of you may know, Amendment 3 will be on the November 3rd ballot. It is being presented as a way of increasing the Homestead exemption over the next two years. However, the Bill but does not speak to how the variety of services provided by County and City governments will be funded if approved. The reality is these services will be substantially cut, and libraries will be a service directly impacted, among many other crucial services. 

Our meeting will be to educate us all about the full implications of this Amendment, so that not only will we be knowledgeable, but we will be able to answer questions from customers in the bookstore, as well as other people in the community. We will have lots of information to share with you at the meeting. Also, we will be looking for volunteers to staff tables in front of the library to share information during early voting. 

Refreshments will be served. It will be great to see everyone and talk about this incredibly important issue. We hope everyone who is in town will be able to come.
